Certain Subaru Crosstrek, Forester, and Ascent SUVs are being recalled due to the potential of suddenly losing power while driving. This is a worrisome safety hazard that can put Subaru drivers in addition to surrounding drivers at risk of an accident.
This risk is due to a faulty engine part that may allow the oil to enter into places that it shouldn’t. Additionally, pieces of the engine may separate and come apart, damaging other engine components and ultimately cause the engine to lose power unexpectedly. In this case, drivers would notice a significant increase in blue-grey tailpipe exhaust.
